Wildlife
Kaipara ki Mahurangi has some of the best access to New Zealand’s marine environment. The Hauraki Gulf contains large marine Conservation areas. Two of these are right on our coast, Goat Island Marine Reserve and Tawharanui Auckland Regional Park. Snorkeling is incredible, get a view of what the undisturbed marine environment looks like. We also have one of the world’s largest on-shore Gannet colonies on our coasts at Muriwai. With a little bit more effort, we can hook you up with nighttime kiwi tours.

Scenic Walks
Short scenic coastal walks to the best viewing platforms, photo opportunities, secret beaches, amazing rock formations. Maybe a longer walk is your thing, and you are looking for a drop off and pick up, we have plenty of recommendations. Multiple short to medium walks, or longer sections of the Te Araroa trail

Beach Hopping
Touring up the incredible Hibiscus Cost and Mahurangi Peninsular, we will stop at some of New Zealand best kept secret spots including Shakespear, Wenderholm, Sullivans Bay, Scotts Landing, Tawharanui, Goat Island Marine Reservice, Pakiri Beach. Short and medium walks available to lookout spots. Focus on Māori history. Or just bring you togs and kids for a swim at the safe beaches. Suitable for all ages.

Brewery and Pub
New Zealand and especially Kaipara ki Mahurangi is famous for our craft beer culture. Taste at 2 or 3 (or more) of New Zealand leading craft brewers, including Sawmill, Liberty and Hallertau. If beer is your thing, we can also add in stops at historic pubs like Puhoi (try their Bohemian Pilsner) and the Riverhead (or plenty of country options) where food and interesting locals await

Winery Tour
I will take you to some local vineyards where you can taste New Zealand’s specialty varieties and a few local oddities. Check out our two wine regions – Kumeu (including Soljans, Westbrook, Kumeu River, Hunting Lodge at Matua) and Matakana (including Matakana Estate, Brick Bay, Heron’s Flight) Maybe take in the scenery or if you want, stop for a long (or quick) lunch.
Foodies Delight
The area is littered with idyllic spots for a long lunch or dinner – cafes, wineries, pubs and food spots abound. Try out New Zealand’s finest produce prepared in the local countryside.

Golf
Maybe you are a keen golfer, book you and your mates a tee time at the world-famous Te Arai Links, have a great day walking the links, enjoy a few at the 19th, and we will get you there and back safely. Requires an early start, but the course and the view is outstanding. May be combine with the Brewery and Pub tour on the way home. (can take 4)

Arts and Sculpture
Maybe a day of arts culture focused on a number of venues across the region including the Orewa Arts Centre, Matakana Sculptureum, Morris and James Pottery, Brick Bay Winery and Sculpture trail. Throw in a few natural wonders, lunch and its a great day out
